Abstract
Almajiri phenomenon is popular in Northern Nigeria due to its domination by Islamic principles as well as high level of poverty and illiteracy. The region has been ridiculed for years because of these phenomena and leaders find it very difficult to curtail. The central attribute of such phenomena is Bara (begging) rather than the original concept, which is Quranic education. The phenomena has been legitimized on religious and socioeconomic basis.
The study adopted the survey research design and randomly enrolled participants in the study. A total of 100 responses were validated from the enrolled participants where all respondent are Almajiri system of education Adamawa State.
